What materials are your pieces made from?
Our pieces are all made from 100% organic cotton. This means all the cotton we use has been grown without the use of synthetic chemicals and has a much lower impact on the environment than regular cotton. It is also a much kinder, gentler option for your little darling and their delicate skin.
Why do you only use organic cotton?
We use only organic cotton because not only is it cleaner and more pure that regular cotton, it also has a much lower environmental impact than regular cotton. Regular cotton is one of the most chemically intensive crops in the world and has a tremendous negative impact on the earth’s air, water and soil, and the health of people in cotton-growing areas. The chemicals used to grow cotton crops are among the most toxic chemicals as classified by the Environmental Protection Agency, however organic cotton is grown without the use of these synthetic pesticides.
In addition, according to World Wildlife Fund, some experts contend that cotton is the largest user of water among all agricultural commodities, whereas organic cotton uses up to 91% less water to produce.
To put this into perspective, it takes 10,000 - 20,000 litres of water to produce just one kilogram of conventional cotton, and 2700 litres to produce the cotton needed for one simple t-shirt, whereas organic cotton uses only 243 litres.
So our insistence on using only organic cotton is a more sustainable and environmentally friendly short term and long term commitment, and gives you the peace of mind that with every This Darling Day purchase you are choosing a kinder, gentler option for your little darling and for our planet and its people.
How do I care for my This Darling Day pieces?
All our pieces are machine washable, however they should be washed on a cold cycle with mild detergent and no bleach.
We recommend hanging them to air dry as a tumble dryer may shrink your garment.
Can I iron or steam my This Darling Day dress?
Yes! As all our pieces are 100% organic cotton they can be ironed on the cotton setting on you iron or steamed with a garment steamer to smooth out any creases.
How long will delivery within Australia take once I make a purchase?
We aim to dispatch your order as soon as possible after you make your purchase and you’ll receive an email to notify you once your parcel is on its way.
Estimated shipping times within Australia are below:
• Standard shipping within NSW: 2-5 business days
• Standard shipping to all other states: 3-6 business days
• Express shipping within NSW: 1-2 business days
• Express shipping to all other states: 2-3 business days
Please allow extra time for all orders to Western Australia, Far North Queensland and Northern Territory.
All shipping timeframes are estimates and once your parcel is dispatched it is out of our hands and is in the care of Australia Post and we have no control over shipping timeframes or any delays. We also cannot guarantee a delivery date, although we wish we could!
If you require your parcel within a certain timeframe we highly recommend selecting Express Shipping at checkout.
How long will International delivery take once I make a purchase?
All international parcels are sent via standard post and will take approximately 8-28 days to arrive depending on your location.

How much is shipping?
Standard shipping within Australia is free on all orders over $120, and a flat rate of $9.95 for orders under $120
Express shipping within Australia is a flat rate of $14.95
International Shipping is free for orders over $200 and a flat rate of $14.95 for all orders under $200

Can I track my parcel once its been shipped?
Yes! All our parcels are sent with tracking so once it has been dispatched you will receive an email with your tracking number. Please be sure to check your junk mail folder if you do not receive the shipping confirmation email in your inbox.
What is your sizing like? I’m not sure which size to purchase!
Our pieces have been specifically designed to be generously sized. This means they run slightly larger so your little darling has plenty of room to move and grow into their beautiful piece, however if you’re a bit unsure about which size to pick or your little darling is in between two sizes, we always suggest sizing up to the larger size. This gives your child room to grow into the garment and ultimately get much more wear out of it than if it was on the smaller side.

What is your returns policy?
We want you to absolutely love your This Darling Day purchase so if for any reason you are not happy with what you have received, it is the incorrect size, or you’ve simply changed your mind please email us as soon as possible at hello@thisdarlingday.com.au with your order number and the reason for your return and we will endeavour to help you out as quickly as possible.
We will happily offer a full refund (less any shipping charges) if you change your mind.
We will happily exchange your item if you require a different size or simply want to swap it for something else.
We require all change of mind returns and all exchanges to be sent back to us in original, as new, unworn and unwashed condition with original tags attached. If a garment we receive does not meet these conditions we will be unable to refund or exchange it and it will be returned to you.
All our pieces are thoroughly checked for quality control before being sent to you. If an item you receive is faulty please email us at hello@thisdarlingday.com.au with your order number so we can rectify the issue
